With the table of needed dimensions and some examples of existing systems, I do not need that much gap between plants yet,

  • Should I made arrangable height?
  • Should I made pre existing arranged units- which the area looks empty while plants growing?
  • What will happen if plants grow too much in the width too, they are tend to spread- Although I can lead users to trim with time arrangements- and I can arrange growth cycles like in my pre existed ideas but should I make them fully closed systems or not?

    Hi Esma,

I am going to right down some of the things we mentioned in our Zoom critics, try to sum up.

If there should be a specific distance between plants for them to be grown well, it would be effective to provide flexibility (modular racks or units for example) rather than providing specialised units for each plants.

You should decide whether the modules open or closed. How will this effect plants’ growth? If you are planning to close it, it is important to decide how and in what kind of situations users will open them. Moreover, what will be the interaction between the user and plants?

It would be good if you integrate dimensions and important details on your models. They look like empty boxes which don’t indicate their aim and use. Where will be the fog system placed? Where will be the light source and heating system? Where will be the plants and where will their roots going (covering whole system underneath)? Answers to those Qs will affect your form development. Moreover, try to specify materials of your product while creating forms.

Think about how users will interact with the product and how the product gives feedback to them and create usage scenarios.
