dsc_0125I received my Bachelor’s degrees in the Department of Biology and Department of Biology Education at the Middle East Technical University. I earned my Master’s degree in the field of science education at the same university. During that time, I worked as a teaching assistant. Then I got a scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of Education to pursue a Ph.D. degree in the United States of America. I went to The Ohio State University and earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the field of measurement and evaluation in education. I also worked as a Graduate Research Associate in Educational Research, Evaluation, and Data Analysis Consultation Services at the university under the supervision of Prof. Dr. William E. Loadman. Since 2005, I am a faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences at the Middle East Technical University. I teach courses in research methods, measurement and evaluation, statistics, and educational psychology. In addition, I work as the director of the Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching (known as ODTÜ ÖGEM).
