Group 4 comprises two architects and two urban planners specializing in urban design. The expert group focused on detailed solutions for the scales of both buildings and the neighborhood. After the introductory lectures and the site visit, Group 4 discussed their initial design ideas with the inhabitants. These ideas are primarily shaped with an emphasis on energy efficiency and social groups to increase the site’s sustainability and variety of life modes. Group 4 uses a combination of mixed methodologies (on-site observation, interviews and spatial analysis through the space-syntax analysis). They also shaped and enriched their design ideas through feedback from local visitors. Together with the participatory planning process, the group presented their final projects through visual schemas, diagrams and maps.
