About Me

My name is Satuk Buğrahan Sari. I was born in Erzurum in 1998. After staying 3 years in Erzurum and 5 years in Kırıkkale, me and my family moved to Ankara and I am still living in here. When we came to Ankara, I went to TED Ankara College Foundation Schools between the years 2005-2011 and completed my primary and middle schools there. Then I have completed my highschool education in Ankara Ataturk High School between the years 2011 – 2015. Once I successfully graduated from highschool, I decided to be a civil engineer because I love mathematics and physics; furthermore, helping humanity to satisfy most of the basic needs of them such as housing, transportation, water supply etc. comes me very honourary and I like drawing and working on structure plans.

I have graduated from Middle East Technical University Department of Civil Engineering (B.S. Degree) with highest ranking in the Spring of 2020. During my undergraduate education, I am mostly interested in Geotechnical Engineering because in my opinion, the soil itself and its response to structures are very interesting and important things to discover and develop. CE363, CE366 and CE464 courses also helped me to head Geotechnical Engineering and improve my knowledge about soil mechanics and foundations in my undergraduate education. Between the years 2019 and 2020, I was also a member of Geomechanics and Technology (GeoMT) Research Group in METU Civil Engineering Department Geotechnics Division.

Starting from 2020 Fall Semester, I am a Master’s student and Research Assistant at METU Civil Engineering Department Geotechnical Engineering Division. During my Master’s education, I am going to study with Prof. Kemal Önder Çetin on post-liquefaction shear strength of soils and residual strength of them.
