About Me

I graduated from Kütahya Nafi Güral Science High School in 2015 when I got 1908th place in Turkey in university entrance exam (ÖSYS).

Then, I decided to become a civil engineer because this is the occupation that meets most of the basic needs of humans such as housing, transportation and water supply. Throughout my undergraduate years, I noticed my interest in geotechnical engineering, which is the foundation of all civil engineering projects. Nowadays, I study offshore wind energy turbine foundations, which is a new subject in Turkey, with my thesis advisor Dr. Nejan Huvaj.

Between October 2020 – September 2021, I worked as a project assistant in an international project. I was the part of a team (consisted of Dr. Nejan Huvaj, Dr. Elif Oğuz and Hatice Kübra Yıldız) responsible to decide suitable sites for offshore wind power plants using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

In October 2021, I started working as a research assistant in Middle East Technical University. It has been a pleasure to conduct fundamental basic Soil Mechanics experiments and discuss geotechnical design problems with civil engineers of the future.

In the future, I aim to expertise on railway tunnels and offshore wind energy because I believe they are the future of transportation and energy sectors.

Besides my educational life, I have been very interested in environmental issues for years. Also, I play tennis with pleasure.
