I obtained my B.S. in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University in 2010 and my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Rutgers University – New Brunswick in 2016. My doctoral advisor was Simon Thomas. (Genealogically speaking, this makes me a 16th academic great-grandson of Isaac Newton and a 9th academic great-grandson of Carl Friedrich Gauss.)
Between July 2016 and September 2017, I was affiliated with Middle East Technical University as a post-doctoral researcher and a part-time lecturer. Since September 2017, I have been an assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics of Middle East Technical University.
