The network license service for MATLAB is moved from the server **Beluga** to **matlab.cc.metu.edu.tr** .

For the MATLAB installations made before April 2012, an end-user intervention is required to change the license server information in the PC’s. If the new license server is not entered, MATLAB will not run on these computers after 1 December 2012.

**Changing license server:**

The **network.lic **file that can be located in the “licenses” directory is in the MATLAB installation directory. This file should be edited by notepad and updated as follows:

*SERVER matlab.cc.metu.edu.tr 27005 USE_SERVER*

**network.lic ** can usually be found at the following default location:

“**C:Program FilesMATLABR2011alicensesnetwork.lic**”
