Having received a BA  in  English Language Teaching (ELT) (2011) , Minor Degree in German Language (2010) and MA (2015) in ELT from Middle East Technical University (METU), I am currently a PhD candidate in ELT (Linguistics Track) at METU. My academic interests mainly lie within the domains of (critical) discoure studies, sociolinguistics & corpus linguistics. I am specifically interested in co-construction and negotiation of identities and positioning, agency and power in interaction, classroom discourse, spoken workplace discourse, transactional and relational talk at work (mainly leadership, problem-solving & decision-making process) and online activisim discourse. Also, I am working as an Instructor at the Department of Modern Languages, METU.
