AAA

A high-budget game typically developed by a large game studio.

Alpha Release

An early release of a game currently in development for testing purposes.

DRM

Digital Rights Management. A type of software program that aims to prevent illegal copies of digital materials.

AI

Intelligence demonstrated by machines  being used to create in-game experiences more enhanced and natural.

Bot

A character controlled by a computer.

Asset Flipping

Reusing assets (graphics, etc.) from other games or asset packs to create a new game.

Augmented Reality

An interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information.

Ban

Being  prohibited to participate in a game, generally online.

Capture The Flag

A popular game mode seen in a variety of games, where the players try to take the enemy’s flag while defending theirs.

Casual Gaming

Playing non-competitively with the sole goal of entertainment.

Sandbox

Games with an extremely open-ended playing experience.
