This section includes the projects and works I have been dealing with. They are given in year order.

2021

This very present year my main extracurricular activity is the projects we are working on with the METU GÖKSAT SPACE Team. As a team we are attending national student competitions in aerospace domain.

Model Satellite Competition Project 2021:

With this project we are attending the model satelletite competition organized by Türksat and T3 Foundation in the scope of Teknofest. Teams are required to build a to be rocket launched model satellite which is actively controlling its descent and receiving a file from the ground station while providing telemetry data to the ground station. To achieve this mission we design and develop the electronic subsystems, mechanical parts , aerodynamic subsystems and flight/ground software packages. The team has passed the POR (Planning and Organization Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Review) ,and PDR presentation phases and continuing with the CDR (Critical Design Review) and production phases.

I am the leader of this team and have designed general electronics structure, PCBs (Using EAGLE) and flight software (for ESP32) for this project.

UAV Project 2021:

With this project we are attending the International UAV competition organized by TUBİTAK and TUSAŞ in the scope of Teknofest. Teams are required to uniquely design a mini UAV and fly with it in the missions of autonomous circuit flight and autonomous object release to the target via image processing. To achieve this mission we have designed a fixed wing UAV analyzed aerodynamically and developed an electronics subsystem. We have done the CDR (Conceptual Design Review) phase successfully and working for the next phase DDR (Detailed Design Review). We are working on the ground/flight software systems and general integration of the UAV at the moment.

I am the leader of this team and have designed general electronics/software structure for this project.

Swarm UAV 2021:

With this project we are attending the Swarm UAV competition organized by HAVELSAN and T3 Foundation in the scope of Teknofest. Teams are required to develop a swarm drone software system which should create different formations and move accordingly. We have done research and development of our swarm software with its simulation. We have successfully passed the PDR (Preliminary Design Review) and simulation presentation phases and become a finalist. Currently we are working on integrating the our software modules with hardware side.

I am the leader of this team and taking responsibilities during the software development in Python and MATLAB.

VTOL 2021:

We will attend the VTOL competition organized by METU AEE department and Boeing. The projects is currently on early phases.
