September 11 Attacks

An event, in which more than 2900 people lost their lives, took place in September 11th. 4 plane set out from North-East of America was hijacked by 19 terrorists who are believed to be affiliated with Al-Quada terrorist group. 2 of them crashed into the both Trade Centers, one crashed to Pentagon. 4th plane was originally headed to Washington D.C. crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.

9/11 is the single most deadliest terrorist attack in both US and Human History. Aftermath was chaotic. Attack cost 2,996 people’s life and 10$ billion in infrastructure and property damage. There were more than 6000 injured people recorded. Destruction of Manhattan caused serious damages to economy as well. In fear of other attacks, many streets and airspace of New York city was closed. In response to this attack, US launched an attack to Afghanistan, where Al-Quada was located.
