Q.)How do I apply to my courses?
As a first year student the majority of your courses are must courses so you do not need to register those courses.
However, there are a few courses like English 101, English 102 and other extra courses you can personally register for. Just head to http://www.register.metu.edu.tr , login using your username and chosen password, and enter the course code and the desired section.
And you’re done!
Q.)How do I get a Residence Permit?
You can obtain a permit by applying to(with the required papers) to the ISO(International Student’s Office, located at the Rectorate Building): they will mail them to the Goc Idaresi.
Next, you will then receive the Permit from the ODTU PTT office located next to the Carsi. Also, if you ever need a renewal or a replacement, you can take your papers to the Goc Idaresi yourself too!
