Bilgi Yılmaz was born in Antalya, Turkey. After completing his elementary and secondary education he started to Gazipaşa (ÇPL) High School.
He started his undergraduate studies at the Department of Mathematics, Ankara University in 2003 and took his B.S. degree in 2007. He became a research assistant at the Institute of Applied Mathematics, METU, in 2011, and started his graduate studies. He received his M.Sc. degree in Financial Mathematics in 2014, with a thesis entitled “Computation of the Greeks in Black-Scholes-Merton and Stochastic Volatility Models using Malliavin Calculus”.
