The ATLAS Laboratory was established in 2012 by three faculty members, Ulu\u00e7 Saranl\u0131, Yi\u011fit Yaz\u0131c\u0131o\u011flu and Af\u015far Saranl\u0131 from the Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering departments of the Middle East Technical University, respectively. Collaborative activities of these researcher and their individual research groups date back to 2006, starting with the joint TUBITAK Project 106E089, titled “State estimation and dynamic feedback behaviors for a legged robot for outdoor applications”.
