{"id":94,"date":"2018-06-11T20:04:49","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T20:04:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.metu.edu.tr\/meyub\/?page_id=94"},"modified":"2022-10-27T10:45:49","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T10:45:49","slug":"funded-projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blog.metu.edu.tr\/meyub\/funded-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Bio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Murat Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu is a Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department and Biomedical Engineering Graduate Programmme at METU.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu is a graduate of METU with\u00a0 B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees both in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1983 and 1985, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1989 from The University of Sheffield, England, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Following his Ph.D., Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu joined NSF\/ERC for Emerging Cardiovascular Technologies and Biomedical Engineering Department at Duke University as a Research Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering. In 1993, he joined Hacettepe University\u2019s Faculty of Engineering as an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He was a Visiting Faculty Member at the Department of Radiology, Metabolic Magnetic Resonance Research and Computing Center, University of Pennsylvania, in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, he was appointed as an Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Hacettepe University. In 1998, Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu joined METU as an Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering where he is currently a Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since April 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu served as Associate Dean for Research, Financial and Physical Resources of METU\u2019s Faculty of Engineering between Nov. 2012 and Nov. 2015 and as Vice-chair of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at METU, from October 2001 to October 2002. He serves as a Member of the Faculty of Engineering Executive Board since 2018. Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu was an elected member of the Faculty of Engineering Board from 2008 to 2011. He was a member of the Faculty of Engineering \u2013 Strategic Planning Committee from 2002 to 2004, Research Committee in 2007 and between 2009 and 2012. He served as an executive board member of METU Welding Technology and Non-Destructive Testing Research \/ Application Center between Feb. 2013 and Feb. 2015. He served as an executive board member of METU-CADCAM center between 2001 and 2012.\u00a0 Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu was a member of Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program Development Committee in 2005-2006, served as a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 2011-2012.<\/p>\n<p>In 2004, Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu was elected as Fellow by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iop.org\/\">Institute of Physics<\/a>, United Kingdom. He is a member of Turkish Chamber of Electrical Engineers and IEEE \u2013 Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, since 1983.<\/p>\n<p>He is a recipient of The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals of the Universities of the U.K. &#8211; Overseas Research Student (ORS) Award in 1986-1988, British Council Fellowship in 1985 and UNESCO Fellowship Award in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu served as Editorial Board Member for the Institute of Physics publication \u2013 Physiological Measurement from December 2002 to March 2009, Editorial Board Member for the Scientific and Technological Research Council Journal \u2013 Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering &amp; Computer Sciences between 2009-2013 and since 2017. He is Associate Editor of Turkish Chamber of Electrical Engineers Journal \u2013 EMO Bilimsel Dergi, since 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu is among the pioneers of magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography research. He leads the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research Laboratory at METU. His research focuses on data acquisition and image reconstruction aspects of magnetic resonance conductivity imaging, conductivity tensor imaging, current density imaging, design of electronic and medical data acquisition systems, image reconstruction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Murat Ey\u00fcbo\u011flu is a Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department and Biomedical Engineering Graduate Programmme at METU.
