P7. Working as a Crew Scientist for two weeks: Field study, NASA, 1-16 February 2014
I was involved in the ‘Mars Desert Research Station Reliability and Redundancy of Extreme Environment Habitat Structures and Power System Martian Bases’ project which was supported by NASA and Mars Society. I took part in 7 experiments during my stay in Utah Desert in the US and worked as a crew scientist. Our science journalist Tereza Pultarova and Filip Koubek also made a documentary about this research.

P6. Field study in Ayvalik Bay, December 2009
During this field study, we worked as a team with the aim of generating a joint scientific research project and submitting our work to a journal within one year. Our paper entitled “Numerical Modeling and Site Investigation on Water Body Movements in Ayvalik Bay, Turkey” was indeed drawn from the collaborative work of this field study.

I took in part in situ measurements in order to investigate the coastal area usage diversity and related problems in the Bosphorus and in the Golden Horn, Istanbul.

P4. The Publishing Challenge Workshop 2017, University of Strathclyde
The Publication Challenge focused on improving the quality and quantity of publications. This workshop was organised to share best practice from across the Faculty to give staff a series of workshops focusing on key aspects of academic publishing.

This four days training provided me a pedagogical theory and practice to develop and challenge my understandings of teaching, learning and assessment in Higher Education.

P1. Enterprise Academy by University of Strathclyde at the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre, 19-21 March, 2013
This was an intensive skills development programme for postgraduate researchers and early career research staff including a three day fully-funded residential training element. This course was designed to allow participants to explore, develop and practise career enhancing skills and to discover entrepreneurship through interdisciplinary group work by providing networking opportunities.
