Introduction to AI

Emotion Recognition
a. What is AI?
Artificial intelligence, or AI, is like teaching computers to think and solve problems, just like humans do. It helps machines learn from information and figure things out on their own. Imagine giving a computer a lot of knowledge and special tools so it can make smart decisions, just like you might!
b. How Did AI Start?
The story of AI began a long time ago, in the 1950s, with a scientist named Alan Turing. He wondered if machines could think like people. In 1956, some really clever people had a big meeting called the Dartmouth Conference, where they started creating the first AI programs. By the 1960s, computers were even learning to play simple games!
Now, AI is much smarter because of cool ideas like machine learning, where computers can improve by practicing, and deep learning, which helps them understand more complicated things. Today, AI is everywhere—in games, phones, and even robots! It’s like having a super-smart helper in your everyday life.
