Hello, I’m Elif Besli, a student in the Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) Department at Middle East Technical University (METU).
I am interested in the field of Distance Education and how technology is used to support learning in online environments. This blog was prepared as part of a course assignment to examine the core principles of distance education and its role in modern learning systems.
Throughout this blog, topics such as the meaning of distance education, online learning environments, advantages and challenges, and student evaluation methods are discussed. The purpose of this website is to organize these concepts in a simple and understandable way and present them clearly to readers.
I am especially curious about how digital tools improve learning experiences and how assessment processes are adapted in online education. Exploring educational technologies and understanding learner needs in virtual settings are areas that I enjoy learning about.
