About Me

I was born on July 16, 1998, in Ankara. I completed my primary and part of my secondary education in Ayvalık, Balıkesir, where I lived for seven years before returning to Ankara to finish high school. In 2016, I began my undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) and graduated in 2021 with high honors, earning a CGPA of 3.74/4.00. The same year, I started my M.Sc. degree in Geotechnical Engineering.

During my master’s studies, I conducted research under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nejan Huvaj Sarıhan, focusing on the preliminary geotechnical design of offshore wind turbine monopiles. After completing my M.Sc. in 2024, I began my Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kemal Önder Çetin. Since January 2024, I have also been working as a research assistant in the Geotechnical Division of the Department of Civil Engineering at METU.

In addition to my academic life, I take great pleasure in playing table tennis and chess. I ranked 4th in the Ayvalık, Balıkesir Chess Tournament in 2013. Beyond academics, I consider myself a highly social and active person who enjoys exploring new experiences. I have a strong interest in paragliding, camping, and automobiles — activities that combine my enthusiasm for adventure, nature, and technology.
