5th of the ICEES series\u00a0organized by the Earthquake Engineering Association of Turkey (EEAT) every two years was held in Ankara\u00a0during October 8-11, 2019. EEAT is the affiliated national organization of International Association for Earthquake Engineering.<\/p>\n

The Conference was followed by one-day International Workshop on Recent Advances in Earthquakes Engineering and Engineering Seismology for honoring and celebrating Prof Haluk Sucuoglu\u2019s retirement after a very successful career at METU. We thank all of the invited speakers from all over the world and our attendees. We hope to see everyone again at 6ICEES which will be held in Gebze in 2021!<\/p>\n
