Call: Postdoctoral Position at METU CHERI Research Center
The CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) Research Center at the Department of Computer Engineering, Middle East Technical University (METU), conducts internationally recognized research in secure processor architectures, memory safety, and capability-based computer systems. We are seeking one Postdoctoral Researcher for the position described below.
Position Details
- Title: Postdoctoral Researcher
- Department: METU Computer Engineering / CHERI Research Center
- Contract Duration: 2 years (Start Date: November 1, 2025)
- Location: Ankara, Turkey

Research Areas
- Secure processor architectures (capability-based architectures)
- Memory safety and microarchitectural defense mechanisms
- Capability-based operating systems and software platforms
- CHERI technologies in embedded security and IoT applications
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (completed by 2025 or currently in the dissertation stage)
- Strong background in microarchitecture, systems software, or computer security
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Track record or potential for academic publications is preferred
